Details War memorial, dated 1920, by stonemasons Messrs G Maile & Son Ltd. The memorial comprises of a roughly-hewn granite obelisk which stands on a square section plinth and stepped base. The memorial is approximately 5 metres high. The four sides of the plinth are inscribed with the names of 100 local men who lost their lives in the First World War and 34 from the Second World War. The stone pillar is inscribed " PARISH OF WOOBURN/ROLL OF HONOUR/IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/THE MEN WHO FOUGHT AND DIED/FOR ENGLAND'S HONOUR/IN THE WARS 1914-1919/1939-1945" This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 11 January 2017.
