Details TQ 52 NW 20/196 CROWBOROUGH HURTIS HILL Windlesham Manor II Listed for historical reasons as the home from 1907 till 1930 of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The later Sherlock Holmes stories were written here; also "The Lost World". L-shaped house of about 1900. Two storeys. Five windows and five gables to each wing.
