Details FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN CHURCH END SO 7406-7506 11/102 Wick and Unidentified Monument, about 3m south of south aisle in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin GV II Chest tomb, William Wick 1769; pedestal tomb, unidentified, late C18. Limestone. Wick, to west: flat top, moulded plinth and capping on base, indented corners. Ends have egg and dart moulding to underside of capping. Plain east end, shield relief to west. North side very overgrown at time of survey (December 1985); south side has circular panel inset in moulded eared square panel. To east: stepped cap with curved chamfered top, and pyramidal finial with surmounting pineapple lying to one side having been removed. Moulded plinth and capping indented corners. Fluted frieze with carved ears of corn set between flutes. Recessed ovals to ends, and circles to sides with carved surrounds. Very overgrown at time of survey.
