Category B Date Added 25/04/1989 Supplementary Information Updated 14/10/2019 Local Authority Moray Planning Authority Moray Burgh Cullen NGR NJ 51282 67155 Coordinates 351282, 867155 — John Wittet, Elgin, 1919-20. Squat octagonal domed monument on stepped base. Polished ashlar. Recessed inscribed polished granite panels in each of 7 faces delineated by short angle pilasters linked at base and at entablature by continuous string course, above which the monument is encircled by mutuled cornice. Wallhead defined by moulded slate cornice linking pediments in alternate facets. Dome crowned by simple finial. Rear door gives access to small internal cell. — Foundation stone laid by Nina, Countess of Seafield, 6 Aug 1920.
