Stepped 1st stage plinth with vertical panel to SE incised 'TO OUR GLORIOUS DEAD 1914 1918' breaking into 2nd stage and surmounted by bronze wreath incorporating Bo'ness coat of arms; NE elevation incised with 'SALONICA / PALESTINE / MESOPOTAMIA / EGYPT / AFRICA' surmounting inserted WWII bronze panel with roll-of-honour; NW elevation with bronze panel bearing roll-of-honour and 'SALUTE THE MEMORY OF THESE THY SONS WHO FOUGHT & LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR', this breaking into 2nd stage and surmounted by bronze wreath incorporating armorial panel below sword/cross; SW elevation worded 'FRANCE / BELGIUM / RUSSIA / ITALY / GALLIPOLI' WWII panel as above. Battered 2nd stage with carved frieze and pyramidal cap. — In form, is similar to memorials by Commonwealth War Graves Commission, notably the combination of white stone and bronze.
