Reason for designation: An especially fine example of a small war memorial. History: By Mario Rutelli (designer of the town war memorial) probably 1922/23, and erected in the courtyard of Tabernacle Chapel (demolished 2014). Exterior: War memorial. Made in bronze it is a replica of the seal of the Calvanistic Methodist connexion : winged figure of Victory stands with one leg on a globe inscribed with the names of the fallen of the First World War. Marble plinth with Second World War memorial tablet; rests on slate platform. Low stone wall enclosure with fleur-de-lys iron railings, and masonry pillar with urn finial.
