Details First World War memorial, erected c1920, with later additions for the Second World War. MATERIALS: carved from stone. DESCRIPTION: the war memorial comprises a Latin cross with an octagonal shaft and cross arm, standing on a three-stepped octagonal base. The west and east face of the second step of the platform is inscribed ‘1914-1919’, and the north and south face is inscribed ‘1939-1945’. This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 15 December 2016.
