Category B Date Added 26/02/1971 Local Authority Renfrewshire Planning Authority Renfrewshire Burgh Paisley NGR NS 48540 64351 Coordinates 248540, 664351 — T G Abercombie, architect, 1913-15. Perpendicular Gothic with flat and 4-centred headed windows. Nave and transpets with apse, tower and attached halls. Snecked rubble with ashlar dressings. Large traceried window to west front, flanked by polygonal buttresses, with parapet battlemented over buttresses and raised to central crocket. Porch at right with 4-centred-arched entrance; 2-stage buttressed tower behind projecting from south; tall 1st stage with tall mullioned and transomed windows to south face, lancet to west. 2nd stage, two 2-light traceried belfry lights to each face and battlemented parapet with corner pinnacles. Buttressed nave with three 3-light traceried windows; buttressed transepts with 2-bay gabled ends with 2-light traceried windows and smaller 2-lights below; and buttressed lower apse with canted east end and 3 small traceried windows. Continuous parapet raised over buttressed end galles. Various vestries etc in re-entrant angles to north and south of apse L-shaped block of offices and halls in similar style attached to north. Slate roofs. Interior of church: single-span nave with galleries in transepts and to rear. 4-centred arches to transepts and apse, latter richly moulded. 4-centred arch wooden roofs throughout. Organ in aspe.
