Details LONDON ROAD 1. 4430 (East Side) WALLINGTON Wallington Bridge TQ 2865 SE 11/92 II GV 2. Early C19. Keystone on west side with date 18?09. Road bridge across Wandle. On west side, a segmental rendered arch with stone keystone, brick parapet and brick abutments; within the arch, 2 rendered culverts; parapet surmounted by stone capping and railings. Railings extend in a curve southwards from the bridge; northwards from the bridge they extend as far as a pair of bollards flanking the entry to a sunken garden by No 282 London Road. On east side, 2 separate arches with similar but separate sets of railings and bollards. Southern arch crosses water leading from ponds and weir by Manor Cottage; at either end of it, a tall round stone bollard with capping; top rail of railings set on a curve. Northern arch crosses another stream from the Grange; railings extend for a short distance south of the bridge. Wallington Bridge and Manor Cottage form a group with Nos 282 and 284 London Road.
