Details In the entry for: Upton Mill House SP 75 NW and Mill 17/525 Upton The address and description shall be amended to read: SP 75 NW UPTON UPTON LANE (west side) 2/16 Upton Mill House and Mill and attached 22/01/76 bridge (formerly listed as Upton Mill House and Mill) - II Water mill and house. Dated 1815, altered C20. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick end and ridge stacks. 4-unit plan. 3-storey, 4-window range. Main front faced mill pond to south and has stable doors to centre and far left with wood lintels. Plank loft door to first floor left with wood lintel, otherwise 2-light casement windows to ground and first floors with wood lintels. Plinth, quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Datestone in right gable inscribed TSWS/1815. Domestic part of building to right of centre with 2-storey lean-to extension to rear and C20 entrance to right side. Initials on datestone are those of Thomas Samwell Watson Samwell. Road in front of mill and mill house crosses mill-stream on attached elliptical-arched ironstone bridge. Mill machinery reported to have been removed. ------------------------------------ Upton Mill House 1. 5327 and Mill Upton SP 75 NW 17/525 II 2. Dated 1815 with initials TSWS. Altered. Dressed stone, low pitched Welsh slated roof with stone coped end gables. 3 storeys. House has casement windows with glazing bars under wood lintels.
