Details SX 26 SW 10/189 ST KEYNE Trussel Bridge II Road bridge over tributary of east Looe River. Circa early C19. Rubblestone. Round arch with dressed stone voussoirs and projecting keystone. Rubblestones walls continuing to form parpets with moulded granite copings. Continuing on east, later bridge over Liskeard and Caradon Railway and Liskeard and Looe Union canal. In 1825 the Liskeard and Looe Union canal was authorised for agricultural purposes, to link Liskeard with tidal water at Looe. As canal traffic expanded, the canal was replaced by the Liskeard and Caradon Railway, authorised by act of 1843 and opened in 1846. In 1909 the railway became part of the Great Western Railway.
