Details The following buildings shall be added to the list:- SK 1615 1715 ALREWAS TRENT AND MERSEY CANAL 9/10004 Gaskell's Bridge No 46, Church Road at SK 1699 1537 - II Canal road bridge. Late C18. Red brick with stone coping. Single span with towpath and humped back. Segmental headed arch with swept wings terminating in piers at all 4 comers. Stone springing stones. Stone plaque at crown on south elevation. Built in 2 sections or widened at an early stage. Minor repairs, especially to north side and jambs. The Trent and Mersey Canal was built between 1766 and 1777 by James Brindley and Hugh Henshall.
