Details BOXLEY ROAD 1. 5278 (South-East Side) Theatre at Maidstone Prison TQ 7656 SW 5/179D 26.7.73. II GV 2. Built between 1809 and 1811 by Daniel Alexander. This was originally of 2 storeys but this has now been altered to form one large storey. Built of Kentish ragstone. 10 round-headed blanks on former lst floor, The ground floor has round-headed arcading on the former ground floor, originally open but now blocked. Attached to the Rotunda at ground floor level. All the listed buildings at Maidstone Prison form a group.
