Sited in front of Victoria Halls. Armour-clad striding figure with ensign of bronze upon rough-hewn granite block with Flodden Field carved. Granite polished ashlar base with brass plaque: "This monument, embodying the spirit of the Selkirk tradition and erected to Commemorate the Four Hundredth anniversary of the battle of Flodden Field, was unveiled by the Earl of Rosebury, KG, KT. Andrew Lusk Allan Provost, 1913". — According to B Holton, Fletcher was the only man to survive and return to Selkirk from the Battle of Flodden, in September 1513.
