Details DESCRIPTION: Tarrant Keyneston War Memorial is located to the north side of Main Street in Tarrant Keyneston and it comprises a 3m high Latin cross on a tapered polygonal shaft rising from a square plinth on a three-stepped base. The First World War inscription is incised on the front elevation of the plinth and reads TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN/ HONOURABLE MEMORY OF THE/ UNDERMENTIONED MEN OF THIS/ PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE. A Second World War inscription has been added to the rear elevation along with the names of the fallen and preceded by 1939 – 1945.
