Details BRINDLE SD 52 SE 5/33 Summit Bridge at SD 586 244 - - II Accommodation bridge over former Lancaster Canal south End, c.1815. Rusticated rock-faced sandstone blocks. Elliptical arch with keystone and alternate voussoirs raised and rock faced, plain band, 2-course parapets of scored blocks with rounded tops, that on the west side continued at its south end in a 180° descending curve to the towpath; humped deck with boulder paving. Structure isolated in field since 1969-70 when canal was filled in. Listing NGR: SD5860224420 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
