Details SP9682 10/143 23/05/67 SUDBOROUGH MAIN STREET (North side) Sudborough Manor (Formerly listed as Manor House) GV II Manor house. C17 origins, mainly late C18, probably altered by T.F. Pritchard and remodelled mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front is 5-window range. 3 bays to right are sash windows with glazing bars and plain ashlar surrounds. 2 bays to left have plain C19 sash windows with arch-head eaves dormers at first floor. Said to have 6-panel door to right with radiating fanlight in large shallow arched recess and Doric pilasters flanking door and half pilasters in angles of recess. 3 roof dormers to right have shallow arch heads. Hipped roof has ashlar stacks at ridge, with moulded cornices. 2 bays to left probably remodelled mid C19. Elevation to right of main front is a 4-window range of sash windows with glazing bars and plain ashlar surrounds similar to main front. Elevation to left of main front is a 2-window range similar to the left side of the main front. Interior not inspected. Description prepared from road.
