Details This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 11/09/2019 SX 65 SE 2/161 MODBURY Steps and archway immediately east of Old Traine (Formerly listed as Steps and archway immediately east of Old Traine East, TRAINE) GV II Steps and archway. C16 but possible repositioned later. Granite and rubble. A flight of stairs from lowest, front level, rising to first floor level, immediately opposite the east gable of Old Traine (qv); over an opening a large granite lintel in basket-handle form but with central ogee curve. The granite lintel may be derived from the demolished C16 Champernowne House (see also No 1 Church Street).
