Simple classical rectangular plan with tower and spire. Snecked and stugged ashlar with polished dressings. N and S elevations 5-bay, ground floor 24-pane segmental and 1st floor 16-pane round-headed sash and case windows. 2 tall round-arched windows in gables, oculus in W gable and flat topped finial. E gable band course. Prominent 5-stage tower and spire with round-arched multi-paned windows at ground and 1st stages, louvred second stage. Cornice above, and 3rd stage with blind key-blocked oculi between paired pilasters. Top stage pilastered and pedimented clock face to each elevation. Octagonal facetted spire pierced by oculi. Weather vane finial. Slate roof with skewputts. Hall, originally a school 2-storey 2-by-3-bay, extended to 5 bays circa 1870. 20th century addition at E links hall to church. Skewputts and stack to S gable only. Slate roof. Church Officer's house, with pend, N of church added circa 1880, 2-storey 2-bay, bipartite ground and single first floor windows. Pyramid slate roof with wrought-iron finial. INTERIOR: large gallery on slender cast-iron columns. Romanesque reredos replaced in 1913 by organ, timber pulpit and wrought-iron altar rails. 2 good early 20th century stained glass windows. Side windows double glazed, sash and case exterior, leaded casement with coloured panes inside. Hall plain, with 1st floor cornice and original timber Romanesque pulpit at ground floor. — Place of Worship in use as such. Spire a land mark.
