Plain, symmetrical, 3-bay, rectangular-plan church. Cream sandstone rubble, squarted and coursed to S elevation. Base and cill courses, round-headed openings with splayed reveals, raised margins. Clasping buttresses to corners, corbelled eaves to side elevations. S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3-bay gable facade; doorpiece to centre with diamond-pane fanlight, boarded 2-leaf doors, low projecting walls framing steps to entrance ending in octagonal pillars; entrance flanked by windows. Group of 3 windows above entrance, taller window to centre flanked by blind outer bays. Plaque above inscribed 'CONGREGATIONAL CHAPEL 1840'. Loop window over. E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3 bays divided by strip pilasters; group of 3 windows to centre, windows to outer bays. W (SIDE) ELEVATION: mirror image of E wing. N (REAR) ELEVATION: gabled with 2 windows. Mostly diamond-pane glazing pattern, multi-pane fixed glazing to N bay to each side elevation. Grey slate roof; ashlar coped skews and buttresses, apex stone to gables. INTERIOR: not seen 1990. BOUNDARY WALL: low surrounding sandstone rubble wall, squared sandstone octagonal pier to left with ashlar cap, cast-iron railing to left. — Formerly the Congregational Chapel, built in 1840 at a cost of $700.
