Byzantine style church, coursed rubble with red ashlar polychrome bands. Gabled N elevation: round-headed doorway with dogtooth moulding, 2 small side window with hood-mould linked to string course. Romanesque arcade to gallery, columns with cushion capitals. Cusped rose window flanked by blind arches and 2 quatrefoils in gable end. Cross finial. Re-entrant angle: low porch with round-headed window and door linked by string course; low roof, shouldered arched window above. Square tower in angle, with 2 narrow windows. Intersecting Romanesque blind arcade under open arched belfry. Corbel table, steep copper pyramid roof; finial. Low extension with paired Romanesque window by tower. E elevation: 4 tall round-headed windows under Romanesque paired windows; corbel table, slate roof, low section at rear. Interior: wide nave with wooden roof on corbels. Chancel has semi-circular domed apse, lined with coloured marble panels to dado, stencil decoration above. Round headed lancets with good stained glass. Simpler stained glass side windows. 3 stout stiff-leafed capital columns carry galleries at N and E with small altar. Low arcade at W aisle. — List excludes school. Ecclesiastical Building in use as such.
