Details SP 01 NW SHIPTON SHIPTON SOLLARS 5/115 Shipton Sollars Manor GV II Former manor house. Early-mid C17, late C19-early C20. Coursed roughly squared limestone and ashlar, stone slate roof, stone stacks. Rectangular plan to what remains of early core with C19 and early C20 extensions on all sides except north. 1, 1½ and 2 storeys. 2½ storey early core with twin gables on north lit by 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements (some C20) with stopped hoods. C20 studded plank door with fillets and strap hinges within segmental-headed surround. 1½ storey single bay late C19- early C20 extension left with half dormer lit by stone-mullioned cross window, 3-light stone-mullioned window with stopped hood to ground floor. Two storey single bay late C19-early C20 extension with flat-chamfered plinth right, 3-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to ground and. first floors. Single storey flat- roofed entrance hall with C20 flat-roofed stone canopy supported on stone brackets, stone-mullioned cross window in south facing wall. Band above window and door. Two storey late Cl9-early C20 block at rear of early core lit by 2-light stone-mullioned windows and stone-mullioned cross windows. Late C19-early C20 block set back on right lit by 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements right. Gable end, axial and lateral stacks with moulded cappings. Slightly stepped and flat gable end coping.
