Details 1. 5273 CHARTHAM ASHFORD ROAD Shalmsford Bridge Manor TR 05 SE 11/221 30.1.67. II 2. The east wing is a C16 or earlier timber-framed building restored, now plastered. The first floor oversails on the protruding ends of the floor joists. Dragon beam. Two storeys. Tiled roof with brick chimneystack. Two casement windows on ground floor, one horizontally sliding sash window and one ordinary sash window above. Modern additions. Interior contains an inglenook fireplace and a plastered ceiling with bosses, probably late C17 to early C18.
