Details The memorial is located within the churchyard of St Michael and All Angels Church, and it comprises a wheel-head cross surmounting a tapered shaft with a carved collar set on an octagonal plinth. This is set upon an octagonal four-stepped base. The inscription on the plinth reads: THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918 (NAMES). The inscription 1939 – 1945 (NAMES) has been added. This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 27 February 2017.
