Details Tall Celtic cross made of granite, the front bearing a carving of a sword, resting on a rounded stone plinth. The front of this bears the inscription: TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND / IN MEMORY / OF ALL WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES / IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1918 / ERECTED BY THE PEOPLE OF SELHURST. This plinth rests on a granite block standing on a two-stepped base. This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 07/03/2017 This List entry has been amended to add the source for War Memorials Online. This source was not used in the compilation of this List entry but is added here as a guide for further reading, 23 November 2017.
