Details 1. 5274 SOUTHFLEET NEW BARN ROAD (east side) Scadbury Manor TQ 67 SW 5/41 II GV 2. The east half dates from 1787 and has a dated brick, though in the east wall and inside are some C17 bricks and the kitchen is C17. Two storeys 3 window. Faced with buff bricks. Parapet. Tiled roof, windows have glazing bars. Originally there were 3 round-headed arches on the ground floor but the outer areas are now hidden by a C20 red brick porch and bay. The centre arch now contains a window. To the left of this there has been scratched on a brick "RA 1787" (Robert Andrews) the west half of the house was added about 1910 in red brick with a slate roof. Two storeys, 2 windows. The old kitchen has some C16 panelling reused from the earlier house on the site and the door above the staircase has 2 slits for firing pistols. This was the house of the Andrus family from 1696 until about 1970. Listing NGR: TQ6206471278 Legacy The contents of this record have been generated from a legacy data system.
