Details PARISH OF ROWSLEY CHURCH LANE SK 26 NE 5/179 (East Side) War Memorial c15 metres South South West of St Katherine's Church GV II War memorial. c1920. Sandstone with pitted finish. In the form of a Saxon cross. Rectangular base of two tall steps, surmounted by a tapering base with inscription to those of the parish who died in the 1914-18 War. Above this a tall cross, the cross top itself with a circle filling the angles. Carved interlace and other decoration on the north face. Additional inscription to the rear for the 1939-45 War. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: SK2547466048 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register.
