Category A Date Added 05/10/1971 Last Date Amended 30/01/2018 Local Authority Perth And Kinross Planning Authority Perth And Kinross Parish Inchture NGR NO 29161 30807 Coordinates 329161, 730807 — A medieval parish church, abandoned in 1670. The church was rebuilt as a memorial chapel c.1870 by T.S. Robertson, architect. It is rectangular, rubble-built with a bellcote and south porch. The north door is the only remaining mediaeval feature. There are a number of monuments within the church: - G.H. St. V. de R. Kinnaird + 1838 tomb chest with doric columns and urn (replica of that at Malta); Victor Alexander Kinnaird, recumbent marble, Thomas Campbell 1854; Olivia Barbara Kinnaird, recumbent marble, Wm. Brodie 1871; Douglas Arthur Kinnaird + 1914, wall tablet and bust, G. Web Gilbert. There are several other marble monuments and busts of late 19th century date, unsigned, all by William Brodie. In accordance with Section 1 (4A) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997 the following are excluded from the listing: scheduled monument SM1658 (see separate designation record). — In accordance with Section 1 (4A) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997 the following are excluded from the listing: scheduled monument SM1658 (Rossie Priory Stone, cross slab: see separate designation record). Statutory Address revised in 2018. Previously listed as 'ROSSIE CHURCH WITHIN ROSSIE PRIORY POLICIES'.
