Heritage listing

Details The memorial is of stone construction and approximately four metres in height. It is Tudor-esque in its detailing and takes the form of a cross raised on a tall octagonal column. The column stands on an octagonal plinth, raised on a three-stepped octagonal base. In a ring around the column are four canopied niches with small figurative carvings inside. The plinth has embattled cresting, and the faces are carved alternately with Tudor roses and shields with heraldic imagery. The faces of the top step are carved with the inscription: IN HONOUR OF / THE MEN OF / ROEHAMPTON / WHO FOUGHT / AND DIED IN / THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1918. This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register.
