Details SP 01 SW WITHINGTON - 7/147 Road bridge c70m south-west of Cassey Compton House and canal either side of bridge GV II Road bridge and canal retaining walls. Late C17-early C18. Walls coursed squared and dressed limestone; bridge finely dressed stone. Canal runs from clsm west of bridge, thence through garden in front of house for cl6Om. East side of bridge (moved from its original position); single low segmental arch with voussoirs, carrying part of boundary wall (q.v.). West side (in its original position); low segmental arch with voussoirs, keystone and band. Rusticated square piers with pyramidal cappings.
