Details SY 08 NE NEWTON POPPLEFORD EXETER ROAD, AND HARPFORD Newton Poppleford 5/51 Poppleford Brook Bridge - GV II Road bridge over Poppleford Brook. Circa 1840. Red conglomerate stone rubble and Hamstone ashlar. Small single span bridge with vertical abutments of conglomerate stone and segmental arch of Hamstone with neatly-shaped voussoirs. There is a plain projecting dripcourse at road level with a Hamstone parapet and simple weathered coping. Small terminal piers projecting only outwards each end.
