Reason for designation: Included for its special interest as a turnpike road bridge. History: Built as part of the establishment of the turnpike road in the 1820s. Exterior: Bridge. Roughly coursed rubblestone with tooled ashlar coping. Double-span segmental arch on stone platform divided by massive cutwater on eastern side, both arches with voussoirs and arch-rings. 2 floodwater arches on the Betws Garmon side, the northern similar but smaller than the main arches, the southern very flat and low. Location: Located on the A 4085 at the southern end of Waunfawr where it crosses the Afon Gwyrfai, which here forms the Community boundary between Betws Garmon and Waunfawr.
