Category B Date Added 03/08/1971 Supplementary Information Updated 11/10/2019 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Parish Middlebie NGR NY 20737 74387 Coordinates 320737, 574387 — Quadrangular churchyard on N side of A74 and containing good 18th and 19th century stone monuments, some with elaborate sculpture; also site of Pennershaughs Church. Set above steep bank on N and W sides, enclosed on remaining sides by low, rubble-built and ashlar-coped wall; modern gate and gatepiers at W end of S wall; earlier gatepiers on E wall are square, with pyramidal caps and iron gate. — RCAHM, INVENTORY, 1920 notes one stone. Pennershaughs parish united with Middlebie 1609.
