Rectangular plan gothic church, 4-stage tower and spire, and adjoining single storey church hall. Sandstone ashlar; base course; string course at intervals; hoodmoulds with decorative label stops to lancets; set-off ashlar buttresses with saw-tooth coping. Galleried interior. E. ELEVATION: tower set to outer right in angle, intercepting skew of gabled elevation. Pointed arch door at centre, flanked by lancets (decorative cast-iron brackets to 2-leaf boarded door); buttresses flanking to left and right, that to right continuing in upper stages of tower; 4-light window above with reticulated tracery; trefoil in gablehead and cross finial at apex. Lancet to outer left. TOWER AND SPIRE: 4-stage tower with gablet-coped angle buttresses at SW corner, terminating in broached ashlar spire. Further doorway in 1st stage to N elevation (detailed as above), trefoil to W; lancets to each elevation at 2nd and 3rd stage, those at 3rd stage smaller and without hoodmould; 4th stage breaking skewline to W, with paired and louvred lancets to N, S, E and W. Spire 125' high; gabled ashlar lucarnes with louvred openings; ring of 4 blind gablets at neck. Decorative wrought-iron cross finial. N (CHURCH STREET) ELEVATON: 6-bay with tower in outer bay to left, tall lancets too remaining bays divided by buttresses. S ELEVATION: 6-bay; doorway in outer bay to right (detailed as above) with small lancet above. Tall lancets in remaining bays with buttresses dividing. W ELEVATION: church hall adjoined at ground (see below). Decorative rose window at centre and trefoil in gablehead. INTERIOR: horseshoe galler
