Category B Date Added 12/03/1981 Local Authority Highland Planning Authority Highland Burgh Nairn NGR NH 88157 56436 Coordinates 288157, 856436 — Mackenzie and Matthews, 1852. Romanesque. Coursed rubble, broached and polished ashlar dressings. 5 bay rectangular plan church. Gabled north front with pair of doors under wide round- arch decorated with bands of Romanesque moulding, triple light window above set behind intersecting double arcade; small wheel window in gable head with tall apex bellcote. Outer bays divided by simple masonry piers with tall, round arched, shafted windows to each. Similar windows divided by piers in 5 bay long elevation; corbelled parapet; end stack to south apex; steep slate roof with gablet finial. — Inscribed over door: United Presbyterian Church founded 8th October 1851.
