Category A Group Category Details 100000019 - See Notes Date Added 05/10/1971 Local Authority Perth And Kinross Planning Authority Perth And Kinross Parish Little Dunkeld NGR NO 07158 39866 Coordinates 307158, 739866 — Large F-plan. Oldest part S.W. tower, 4-storey and attic 16th cent. tower house probably incorporating earlier work: turrets N.E. and S.W.; angle finial N.W. Early 17th cent. onwards, additions on E 2-storey and attics (later remodelled to 2-storey) with 4-storey crowstepped tower; T-plan addition on N. 3-storey with swept dormer heads. 2-storey entrance hall, pedimented with Venetian doorway at 1st floor level, curved outside staircase with 3-arch loggia below c.1725-40 reputedly, and in the manner of Wm. Adam. Piend roof addition to N. wing 3-storey c.1800. E. end of E. wing reconstructed as dining-room with hammer beam roof, large 2-storey addition with square angle tower having pyramid roof (dormerheads of 1666, 1673, and 1677 incorporated) containing notable ballroom and staircase with fine painted ceilings, c.1875. Middle wing rebuilt 1893 A. Duncan (Clerk of Works, Murthly) archt., (? from sketch designs by Leadbetter and Fairley).
