Category B Date Added 27/03/1985 Local Authority Renfrewshire Planning Authority Renfrewshire Burgh Paisley NGR NS 47409 63894 Coordinates 247409, 663894 — Built 1847 as 5-bay rectangular plan, nave and aisles with vestry at rear. Additions and alterations including south front and tower 1904-5, T G Abercrombie, architect. Earlier part snecked rubble with ashlar margins. Additions in snecked stugged ashlar with polished dressings. South front: neo-Norman. Advanced buttressed centre bay with round-arched door way of 3 orders supported by nook, shafts and flanking round-headed sidelights. Cill band triple lights over with Romanesque detail, cross finial at gable head. Right aisle end, 2 small stair windows. Tower at left with clasping buttress String curved over flat-headed slit window. Paired window with colonnette near top. West elevation of tower has 3 window arcade at ground: Romanesque window above. Aisles have round-headed windows with 'Y'-tracery. Eaves band. Slate roof. Offices and halls attached to rear of nave. 2 storeys and 2 bays, snecked rubble with ashlar margins including angle. Coped porch with round-headed doorway. Eaves band and slate roof. Interior: galleries to 3 sides on cast-iron colonnettes. — Attached later hall at rear of no architectural merit. Ecclesiastical building in use as such.
