Details THORPE MAIN STREET SE 0061-0161 (east side. off) 14/96 Manor House with attached garden wall and gate piers(formerly 10.9.54 listed as Thorpe Manor House) GV II House, wall and gate piers. Mid C18 house, late C18 - early C19 wall and piers. House: limestone rubble and ashlar, graduated stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Projecting quoins. Central 6-panel door, top 2 panels glazed, in architrave composed of flanking Doric pilasters, entablature with triglyph frieze and moulded triangular pediment. Sashes with glazing bars in moulded architrave throughout; projecting band at first-floor level, moulded eaves cornice. End stacks. Wall and piers: coursed rubble wall, ashlar piers. The wall approximately 15 metres long and 80 centimetres high with rounded coping; pierced by the gate piers which are approximately 1.5 metres high with moulded base, moulded band below a plain entablature, deep cornice.
