Details SJ 96 NW 9/10021 CONGLETON MACCLESFIELD CANAL Bridge No 58 at SJ 9024 6514 GV II Accommodation bridge. c1831. Engineer William Crosley. Coursed sandstone blocks with ashlar dressings. Horseshoe, eliptical arch with voussoirs and a prominent keystone that rises to a chamfered band at deck level. Battered walls terminate in squared piers: coping to parapet. Setts survive below bridge vault. NB One in a series of fine bridges (and milestones) on the Macclesfield Canal.
