Details This List entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 12/10/17 SJ 67 NE 6/76 GREAT BUDWORTH C.P HIGH STREET (south side), Lychgate to Churchyard of St Mary and All Saints (Formerly listed as Lychgate to Churchyard of St Mary and All Angels) GV II Lychgate, 1920. Oak framed; built as a First World War Memorial; red sandstone plinth; stone-slate roof; open small-framing of large-section timbers; oak crucifix in front gable; ornate cusped bargeboards; bronze plate on inner face of each plinth wall records parishioners who served in the Forces during the First World War (305 men and 4 women) and those who died (28 men). Listing NGR: SJ6645377530 This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 26 January 2017.
