George McKay, Engineer. High single span tooled rubble bridge crossing Lower Foyers gorge. Tooled ashlar segmental arch ring, pulvinated string course and parapet cope. Parapet fitted with modern safety fence. Datestone with crest in centre of north face above arch. Approximate span; 70'. — Datestone initialled AMW, CFW, EFW for Fountaine Walker owners of Foyers House (now demolished) by 1862. Also inscribed with crest, motto "Clarior e Tenebris" and "George McKay, Engineer. John Hendrie, Contractor".
