Category B Date Added 13/03/1997 Supplementary Information Updated 03/04/2023 Local Authority Argyll And Bute Planning Authority Argyll And Bute Parish Luss National Park Loch Lomond And The Trossachs NGR NS 35614 85672 Coordinates 235614, 685672 — Mid-19th century stone bridge with three segmental-arch spans (two dry, flanking overflow arches) carrying the former road over Fruin Water. Reconstructed and widened with a reinforced concrete frame in 1931. Bull-faced, squared sandstone with ashlar parapet; ashlar voussoirs, arch ring, keystone; droved triangular cutwater buttresses. Plaque inscribed "Sir Chas Preston Bart., Governor General, Military Road". — The bridge is shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (surveyed 1859 to 1860, published 1862).
