Reinforced concrete pillar surmounted by lantern cupola with latticed glazing in steel framework with conical roof; circular cantilevered platform with railings to base of cupola; entry via attached ladder. Door at base of pillar (for access to electrical equipment) under small cantilevered canopy. — Leading light of modernist design constructed along with developments marking a century of Granton Harbour.
