Category B Date Added 28/05/1981 Local Authority Dumfries And Galloway Planning Authority Dumfries And Galloway Burgh Kirkcudbright NGR NX 68386 50980 Coordinates 268386, 550980 — William Burn, 1831-8. Alteration 1886. T-plan Gothic church with 3-stage tower and broached spire projecting from central gable end. Yellow sandstone with red dressings. Tower with angle buttresses capped with octagonal finials. Recessed door under pointed arch with moulded reveals. Tall Y-traceried window above. triple belfry lights and lucarnes in spire. Simple lancets, tripled in gables and on S elevation. Low semi-circular parish room projects from S. Galleried interior with plaster ribs, 2-tier panelled pulpit flanked by organ. One stained galss window in central light of S transept by William Meikle in memory of Rev. A C Campbell, dated 1913. — In ecclesiastical use. Cost $7,000. Site given by Lord Selkirk. Clock and bell by Jas Lennox of Dalskairt. Organ introduced 1886.
