History

The club was established in 1873 Home games are played at Beveridge Park. When league rugby began in 1973, the team was initially placed in Division 4 of the Scottish League Championship. They progressed through the divisions and eventually gained promotion to Premiership Division One at the turn of the century, The women's team was established in the 1993–94 season. Two matches in the 1994 Women's Rugby World Cup plate competition were played at Beveridge Park.
