Details KENTISBURY 1544/0/10013 War Memorial 24-JUL-07 GV II War memorial, post 1918. MATERIALS: constructed of light grey granite. DESCRIPTION: The memorial has a tapering square plinth, rising to square shaft, topped by a wheel headed cross. The whole is set within a walled enclosure cutting with metal posts bearing two simple chains. A granite plaque on the north face of the plinth bears the text: `In memory of/(5 names)/ who fell in the Great War 1914 -1919 / the glorious dead.' The memorial is set within a walled memorial garden with wrought iron gates.
