Details KEELE 408/0/10005 CHURCH BANK 30-JUL-02 War Memorial adjacent to Lych Gate at St John the Baptist Church GV II War memorial. c1920. Sandstone ashlar. Cross shaft set on square base with shields set over offset buttresses framing inscription panels; stepped octagonal plinth. This is a good example of a First World War memorial in the form of a market cross, situated close to the Parish Church. This List entry has been amended to add sources for War Memorials Online and the War Memorials Register. These sources were not used in the compilation of this List entry but are added here as a guide for further reading, 19 January 2017.
