Details SD 90 SE, 1/113 MOSSLEY, HUDDERSFIELD NARROW CANAL, Winterford Bridge and Lock No. W14 II Lock and adjoining roving bridge. Between 1794 and 1797. Bemjamin Outram engineer. Hammer-dressed stone. The lock which is grooved for stop planks has gate recesses (no gates) and has been largely filled in in C20. The roving bridge at the tail-end has an elliptical arch, stone band and side walls which are curved in plan, have rounded copings and are terminated at one side by a square pier and sweeps down to canal level at the other.
