Category B Date Added 22/02/1971 Local Authority West Lothian Planning Authority West Lothian Parish Linlithgow NGR NT 00288 79014 Coordinates 300288, 679014 — 1859. Octagonal staged Gothic monumental tower with buttresses to 1st stage, canopied niches to 2nd stage and wolf-like gargoyles to 1st stage parapet and to eaves level. Stugged sandstone ashlar, conical ashlar spire with decorative finial. Inscription plaque to tall pedestal. — A conspicuous landmark on a ridge north of Linlithgow, erected to the memory of Brigadier Hon. Adrian Hope killed in India in 1858. Possibly designd by Brown and Wardrop.
