Details ST45SE CHEDDAR CP STATION ROAD (South side) 6/142 Hanham Manor (Previously listed as Manor Farmhouse) 9.2.61 GV II House. Probably early C15, C17 additions and alterations, further C20 work. Rendered; single and double Roman tile roof, also some slate roof in three distinct sections, that to east with coped verges; 4 low rubble stacks. Irregular frontage with a central steep pitched gable in a cross-wing; hall to east, further addition to west. Two storeys, 2:1 bays, some C19 3-light casements, some 4 and 5-light ovolo-moulded wooden mullioned windows with dripmoulds. Plain square-headed door opening in a chamfered surround to left, further door opening to right, plank doors. Cross wing with 2 base-cruck trusses, further small crucks above the tie, cusped arch-bracing. Further C17 features. (VAG report, unpublished SRO, 1978).
